The foundations of ceramic processing science are found in Chemistry, Physics, and Chemical Engineering. Mathematics has taken on a more important role as a result of the quest to compute and model the responses of colloidal systems, forming processes, sintering, and microstructure evolution. This CD-ROM is a compilation of several papers presented at the 9th International Ceramic Processing Science Symposium. The meeting was chaired by Gary L. Messing, and co-chaired by Professors Shin-ichi Hirano and Ludwig Gauckler.

This CD represents papers that were submitted and approved for the proceedings of the 34th International Conference on Advanced Ceramics and Composites (ICACC), held January 24-29, 2010 in Daytona Beach, Florida. ICACC is the most prominent international meeting in the area of advanced structural, functional, and nanoscopic ceramics, composites, and other emerging ceramic materials and technologies. This prestigious conference has been organized by The American Ceramic Society s (ACerS) Engineering Ceramics Division (ECD) since 1977.

Now in its twelfth edition, Sax's Dangerous Properties provides extensive data on approximately 28,000 substances, with the addition of nearly 2,400 new substances. Each entry includes a DPIM code, hazard rating, entry name, CAS number, DOT number, molecular formula, molecular weight, line structural formula, description of material and physical properties, and synonyms. The book also contains Immediately Dangerous to Life or Health (IDLH) levels for approximately 1,000 chemicals.
